If you have a good handle on how to do it and your car is comfortable, you can do it using a combination of a brush and a bucket of brake cleaner. The bucket is best for cleaning the inner surface of the brake rotor, but a brush can also work.
I’ve seen a few YouTube videos where people do it by hand using a brush. The problem is that the brush is so thin that it’ll likely get smeared and become ineffective. A bucket will be easier, but even that is a bit of a process. It’s not very fun to do, but it is definitely worth it.
The good news is that you have no problem doing it. You can take your car out of the brake rotor, but you also have to do the brake process yourself. If you don’t know how to do it, it’s pretty easy. There’s a bunch of diagrams on the website that help, but they are more a guide as to how to do it than a tutorial.
Brake rotors are a pain, but if you have a bucket, you can take it out and put it back in. Once you have your bucket, just take your car out of the rotor and do the process again. When you’ve got your bucket back, you can put it in again and keep on doing this process. It’s a bit of a pain, but nothing that can’t be solved with some DIY.
