Like many other EV battery packs, the Lexus CTS 200h has a limited lifetime of about 8 years, which means only the battery will last for that long. That’s because the CTS 200h doesn’t have a long enough battery pack to make sure the battery lasts that long. In other words, if you’ve got your CTS 200h for 8 years, you can charge it up for 7 years, but the battery will last only 8 years.
As far as I know the CTS 200h is the only EV battery pack out there, so the only thing I can say is that it is probably the only EV battery pack that I could find that would cost $9.99 to buy.
In the same vein, the battery in my CTS 200h is probably only as long as the battery in the CTS 100h. The battery in the CTS 100h lasts only about 10 years, and the battery in the CTS 200h will only last about 11 years.
